Roland Schauls

The artist Roland Schauls (* 1953) is best known

for his avant-garde portraits. But he also offers

much to discover in his works of abstraction.

At first glance, Schauls creates confusing conceptions

of space out of clean lines, which he combines with

a soft style and exciting colors in acrylic and charcoal.

As in “Herz und Härte” from 2017, the artist plays with

the viewing habits of the viewer and invites him to

discover his works in multiple different ways. ET
