Under the patronage of Federal President Horst Köhler and President Hu Jintao, “Germany and China – Moving Ahead Together” (DuC) is the most extensive series of events organized by the Federal Republic of Germany in China to date with the aim of promoting mutual understanding as the basis for successful cooperation in the cultural, scientific and economic fields and strengthening the image of Germany as a future-oriented, innovative country. Between fall 2007 and spring 2010, “Germany and China – Moving Ahead Together” will host various events in important regional centers in China. The event series is organized by the Federal Foreign Office. Partners are the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA), the Goethe Institute and the initiative “Germany – Land of Ideas” as well as the official business partners Allianz, BASF, Daimler, Deutsche Bank, DHL and Siemens.
