Jubilee exhibition “Every Island is a Mountain” at Palazzo Malta, Venice.

Installation “Kalpa/Sound: What Marco Polo left behind” by Hoon Kwak

The Ministry of Culture of South Korea, headed by Byoung Gug Choung, is showing the exhibition “Every Island is a Mountain” as part of the Biennale di Venezia 2024 to mark the 30th anniversary of the country’s presentation. The presentation was curated by Jade Keunhye Lim and will be shown at Palazzo Malta – Ordine di Malta. The exhibition includes artworks by 36 artists, reflecting the history of the Korean pavilion. Hoon Kwak can be seen in the outdoor garden with part of the original installation from the first Korean Pavilion in 1995.


The exhibition is on view in Venice until 08.09.24.
