Collage - Karl Hagedorn
In his work “Collage”, executed in oil on canvas, Karl Hagedorn explores the reciprocal relationship between humans and machines, examining the organic within technology and the mechanical within the living body. The interlocking angles, planes and directional elements can be interpreted as components of an imagined organism whose function remains unknown. The human element does not necessarily appear as a recognizable figure but can instead be expressed through the relationships between individual forms. Their mutual dependence and interaction reveal how separate geometric elements come together to form a complex whole.
