Bernd Schwarzer is a representative of German post-war art and his, mainly abstract, works of art deal with the themes of a united Europe, the reunification of Germany and human rights. The work “Europakopf” (Head of Europe) deals with the theme of “Europe” and was created using an oil paint technique in the colors yellow and blue. The different shades of the European colors interlock with each other and convey the image of a living organism. The work is in an object frame specially made by the artist for each head.
