Wolfgang Zelmer (*1948 in Munich) is a German artist who is best known for his graphic works and still lifes. After training in graphic design and art printing, he devoted himself to etching and other printing techniques, which he developed into a characteristic means of expression. His works are characterized by fine lines, symbolic elements and a mixture of realistic and surreal depictions. He often combines classical motifs with timeless themes, which makes his style unmistakable. Zelmer has exhibited internationally, including in Europe, the USA and Japan, and is considered one of the most important contemporary graphic artists.
