Peter - Peter Hermann
Original screenprint, numbered and signed. Completely framed with acid-free cardboard with spacer and museum glass, dustproof finish.

Peter Hermann’s sculptures are primarily dedicated to the human figure and the human image. They are particularly steadfast and earthbound. Sometimes they are accompanied by various animals such as fish, owls or even objects from the everyday world. These attributes convey something particularly valuable, complement the sculpture and thus allow for associations in terms of content. They often remind the viewer of man’s very own longings, such as to swim, to fly and to be completely free.

Peter Hermann reduces his figures to the essentials, avoiding grand gestures. Although his people look out into the world, their gaze is at the same time strongly directed inwards. This gives the figures a quiet presence and something particularly dignified. And if you look at them for longer, you get the feeling that they are beginning to tell a story.

In addition to sculptures made of wood or bronze, Peter Hermann also realizes his themes two-dimensionally in the graphic medium of woodcuts. Since 1994
Peter Hermann has been presenting his work in solo and group exhibitions in museums, art associations and galleries.
