Otto Dix’s central interest was devoted to the figure, from which he drew an unexpected diversity between allegory and idyll. His granddaughter Bettina became the secret muse, the “blue flower” of his late graphic work, which developed in a fruitful interplay with his painting and drawing designs of the post-war decade.
