This work is part of the cycle “One hundred views of one hundred views”. Udo Kaller thus refers to “The 100 famous views of Edo” by the Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) – a masterpiece of Japanese woodcut art. Kaller takes up the motifs and interprets them in new compositions in his own formal language.
