Blumenvase - Udo Kaller
In Udo Kaller’s “Blumenvase”, yellow lines trace the forms of flowers, stems and a vase against a deep blue background. Kaller develops his paintings from observations and experiences, which he selects, filters and combines into his own pictorial vision. The apparent lightness of his composition is the result of a deliberately constructed visual order. The blue remains visible through the vase and flowers, while just a few contours are enough to make the familiar forms recognizable. The composition reduces the abundance of a bouquet to those essential lines through which the motif also takes shape in our memory.
