Harry Meyer at ZAHA Museum Seoul

Institutional solo exhibition of artist Harry Meyer at the ZAHA Museum in Seoul, South Korea.

In summer 2026, the ZAHA Museum of Art in Seoul is dedicating an institutional solo exhibition to Harry Meyer. The collaboration with the renowned museum marks a significant milestone in the international recognition of his work.

At the heart of the exhibition is the GipfelWelten series, which Harry Meyer developed over a period of more than five years and which is now being presented to the public for the first time. These paintings approach landscape not merely as a representation of nature, but as an emotional and intellectual space of experience. Meyer’s painting is characterized by a dense, impasto application of paint with an exceptional physical presence, bringing together atmosphere, memory, and painterly gesture to create compelling pictorial worlds.

The ZAHA Museum of Art provides a particularly resonant setting for this body of work. Nestled within the landscape of Inwangsan Mountain, the museum establishes a direct connection with the themes of the exhibition. Within Korean culture, where mountain landscapes have held profound spiritual and aesthetic significance for centuries, Harry Meyer’s works acquire an additional cultural and conceptual dimension.

The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive catalogue featuring contributions by Nils Ohlsen, Director of the Lillehammer Art Museum in Norway, and Korean art critic Park Young-Taek. Their essays offer distinct perspectives on Meyer’s work and the significance of this exhibition project.
