The year 1941 marks the beginning of “Formsurrealism”, Max Ackermann

created with this work a style of expression characteristic of this period for

organic forms with swelling figures or objects, whose contours develop in a flowing

contours are created in a flowing alternation of concave and convex curves.

They appear like archetypal forms that grow out of themselves.
