Harry Meyer was born in 1960 in Neumarkt, Upper Palatinate. After completing an apprenticeship as a craftsman in Nuremberg, he studied architecture and attended the “Art in Architecture” master class with Frank Stella. In 2005, he held the position of visiting professor for painting at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. He has been working as a freelance painter since 1993 and presents his work in regular exhibitions as well as in private and public collections. Since 2007, he has also been represented by the Bode Gallery in South Korea.
The award-winning artist loves nature with its colors and forms, which is the main focus of his oeuvre. From sun-warmed fields, bright flowers and fiery volcanoes to windswept landscapes and snow-capped peaks, Meyer depicts all facets of the natural environment.
