Max Ackermann – Die Rom Pastelle

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Max Ackermann’s death, we are exhibiting selected pastels from the Rome cycle, most of which are being presented to the public for the first time.

Dr. Jens-Henning Ullner, curator for 20th-century art at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart and member of the board of trustees of the Adolf Hölzel Foundation, gave the opening speech. A catalogue accompanying the exhibition was published with an introductory text by Dr. Jens-Henning Ullner and a contribution by Dr. Marina von Assel.
